As Chairman of PROLINK and the PROLINK Broker Network, Joe is responsible for the strategic direction of the two entities and for overseeing the implementation of the associated long and short-term plans. He acts as the direct liaison between these entities and the shareholders and Board of Directors. In Joe’s almost 40 years in the industry, he has developed a network of enduring personal and business connections with clients, insurance executives and partners. His unique perspectives and experience add immeasurable benefit to the executive team at PROLINK. As founder, Joe has been resolute in his belief that value comes with caring, integrity, honesty, engaging in the lives and businesses of clients and acting as an advocate and advisor. This belief continues to influence the strategic direction of the firm today.
Prior to PROLINK, starting in 1978, Joe “articled” with the Travelers and completed his technical and strategic leadership education leading to the designation of Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional issued by the Insurance Institute of Canada. After four years of building his practice, he and two colleagues founded Leue McCabe Stevenson Ltd. in 1982, the forerunner to LMS PROLINK Ltd., the PROLINK Insurance Group Inc., le Groupe d’assurance PROLINK Inc. and the PROLINK Broker Network. Today all these firms share the trade name PROLINK – Canada’s Insurance Connection.
Derrick is the CEO of PROLINK. Beyond driving the growth and performance of the firm, Derrick actively manages relationships with some of our largest national associations and commercial accounts. Derrick advocates passionately for our clients and for their experience with PROLINK. Our clients value his risk management expertise, particularly for associations, professional service organizations and professionals. He has an outstanding reputation with associations and thousands of professionals for delivering insightful presentations on the emerging risks facing individual practitioners and business owners. Derrick sits on the advisory boards of several insurance companies, advocating for product and service innovations to best serve our clients.
Prior to PROLINK, Derrick has sales, marketing, consulting and accounting positions at such firms as KPMG and Morningstar Canada.
Mark is the Chief Operating Officer at PROLINK. He drives the continuous improvement of customer service and the effective deployment of information technology to make PROLINK ever easier to do business with. As Head of Marketing, Mark advances our marketing strategy, brand, customer interactions and customer communications. He is also responsible for our teams in business planning, marketing, commercial and personal insurance, information technology, finance and human resources. Mark greatly values his time with clients, prospects and insurers to identify opportunities to enrich the value that our clients receive from PROLINK.
Prior to PROLINK, Mark held general management, marketing strategy, sales management, sales, marketing and customer service management roles at such firms as Thomson Reuters, KPMG and IBM. He was also a Faculty Member with the Executive MBA Program at the University of Toronto.
Michael is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Clients and Risk Management at PROLINK. He is responsible for driving the growth and strategy of our commercial insurance division, as well as managing his own book of clients. Michael has always been a large advocate of proactive risk management and his clients have come to rely on him to bring industry best practises to their organizations. He is constantly driving new coverage, service and delivery innovation to ensure the resiliency of our clients. Michael holds leadership positions in a number of different insurance industry associations. He has a passion for moving the insurance industry forward with new and innovative ideas. He loves meeting with clients, prospects and insurers to help them solve their problems and take advantage of new opportunities.
As President of the PROLINK Broker Network, Brian is responsible for the strategic growth and financial performance of one of the largest private networks of independent insurance brokers in Canada. He plays an active role in identifying and recruiting entrepreneurial brokers and agents whose principles align with the visions and strategy of PROLINK and who seek independence within a supportive environment. Brian oversees the onboarding of new brokers as well as the support, information technology, training and regulatory services that we provide. Ultimately he is responsible for the satisfaction of all our network partners.
Prior to PROLINK, Brian held a variety of positions within agency management and operations at State Farm Insurance.
